Claire Grace

Claire is a teenager with a passion for helping people. In fact, she is a recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award and a National Youth Activist Award winner in the Inspiring Arts category. Most of her hundreds of volunteer service hours include being a counselor at Make Promises Happen camp, a stagehand at RoundUp Theatre camps and classes, and an assistant at the Miss Amazing Pageant, among other organizations and events that support people who have special needs. Additionally, she has been a Unified Partner for Special Olympics since age twelve and she now serves on Oklahoma's Special Olympics Youth Activation Committee and as Best Buddies President for her school. Through her volunteer work, she saw a need for funding programs that will provide social and employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and that is what inspired her to develop Show Compassion Foundation.

Expertise: public speaking, social media, marketing, and strategy.

Sarah Donahue


Ms. Donahue had her first work opportunity with The Rise School and Child Development Laboratory at Oklahoma State University at the age of 15. She has also modeled in an American Girl brand fashion show. Sarah is an avid hugger, singer, dancer, paddle-boater, and traveler among other skills and hobbies.

Expertise: Advising the board on the appeal of new ventures.

Shelly Henricks, MSE


Ms. Henricks is the founder of Bestiga! and has consulted with companies around the world. She has been a guest speaker at multiple universities for their elementary and special education teaching students/classes. Her decades of consulting combined with her masters degree in entrepreneurship as well as first hand experience with the special needs community makes her an asset to this type of endeavor.

Expertise: Feasibility of new ventures and financial analysis. 

Bert Jacobson, EdD


Dr. Jacobson is a professor of anatomy at Oklahoma State University, as well as a Regents Professor and the Associate Dean of Education, Health, and Aviation. As a college athlete, and later a strength and conditioning coach both at the college and professional level along with his extensive research, Dr. Jacobson provides unique insight into body mechanics and health sciences. 

Expertise: Activity-based proposals and adaptive equipment.

April Golliver-Mohiuddin, MFA


Professor Golliver-Mohiuddin is the Director of Opera Studies at Oklahoma State University and has performed world-wide. She toured the Czech Republic and has performed in Carnegie Hall. Her long-standing involvement with music, theatre, and opera provides unusual perspective as to varying music-based opportunities. 

Expertise: Arts-based proposals.  

Laura Austin Thomas


Mrs. Thomas has served as a prosecutor for more than three decades and as the District Attorney for Payne and Logan County in recent years. As a prosecutor, she focuses on community safety and advocacy for victims demonstrating heart and commitment in all her cases. 

Expertise: Legal guidance.
